First 5 LA would like to remind you that children should visit the dentist by 12 months of age or after the first tooth appears. The events listed below are part of the Give Kids A Smile program. All services are completely free, including exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, dental care, health education, and fun activities for kids! Appointments are recommended, but not required. Bring your children to a screening near you:

Children can sit on one of our colorful pillows or are welcome to bring their own to enjoy world-class artists in 30-minute interactive performances with a free visual arts workshop each performance. Toddler Totes takes you and your child on an investigative exploration of the Zoo’s animal collection examining animal body parts and adaptations, such as noses on koalas or tails on tigers. Families can stop by the Kids Korner to read a story, participate in a group storytelling, do a puzzle, or just explore!

Shark feedings and shark-themed films are the highlights of Sundays at the aquarium.  Horn and swell sharks cruise the tank, noses out of the water, mouths open, anticipating the meal to come. Kids can make a shark craft project.

Night Hikes
See the other kind of night life in Hollywood, and the other kind of stars. The Sierra Club leads two hour hikes through Griffith Park; children are welcome as long as they're with an adult.
